Subjective Well-Being of Young People in Therapeutic Residential Care from a Gender Perspective

Abstract A growing body of research focus on subjective well-being (SWB) in adolescence; however there are few studies specifically the residential care population and even fewer differences by type facility separately for males females. This study aims to analyze SWB therapeutic (a program created address youths with severe emotional behavioral problems) relation young people other kinds child (RCC). 567 adolescents aged 14-18 from Therapeutic Residential Care (TRC) ( n =256) RCC =311) participated study. Results showed significant concerning factor. Satisfaction their own family was greater TRC satisfaction, both groups they belong facility, rated higher among group. Regarding sex, females reported less all domains including overall life satisfaction. The effect interaction between sex that SWB, particularly low. main implications intervention will be discussed.
